Talk about multitasking. When you're not resting your Long Island on one of these magnetic blackboard coasters ($15 for a set of four), you can keep them on your fridge, and even jot your grocery notes down on them. This is a great solution for keeping your coffee table tidy, and I think the black circles add a fun design element to your fridge as well.

As further evidence of the omnipresence of nonsouvenir matryoshka dolls, the jm2 Matriochka Blackboard ($113) has come all the way from Lyon, France to the shelves of Rose and Radish here in San Francisco. Much like the DIY Nesting Doll I wrote about, this blackboard inspires creativity. Although it'd be funny to read Bart Simpson's infamous blackboard comments here, I'd much rather see how one could interpret the traditional doll with some colored chalk, perhaps draw some embroidery, and arms with bling bangles sticking out from under her cape.
