Known as "Rosehearty," the 1885 Federal-style North Shore Long Island mansion is on the market for $12.8 million. With 11 bedrooms, seven and a half bathrooms, at least three fireplaces, a guest house, a tennis court, pool, spa, and its very own 260-foot stretch of beach and a dock, the 10,000-square-foot property is just big enough to keep the Jolie-Pitts' growing family warm and well-entertained all Summer long. In the News: Celebs Losing Big Bucks on Their Dubai Digs

As you know, the effects of the credit crunch are being experienced worldwide. Even some of the world's wealthiest celebs are being hit hard. Celebrities like the Beckhams, Michael Jackson, and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are losing $110,000 a week as the value of their luxury Dubai villas crashes. For the last few years, stars have been snatching up vacation properties in Dubai like kids at a candy store, many at the World Islands developments, a series of artificial peninsulas in the Persian Gulf shaped like continents. A slew of British soccer players, Beckham included, bought six-bedroom villas for around $1 million for in 2002, which quadrupled in value over the past six years. They've since lost millions as Dubai was hit by a housing market crash in October. I'd assume that Brad Pitt's plans to design an eco-friendly hotel in Dubai have also threatened by the economy. While I certainly don't wish this sort of financial loss upon anyone, it doesn't seem like any of the celebs in question are actually struggling to make do, so I won't be throwing any pity parties.

Photographer to Watch: Brent Stirton

Remember this cover? Well, it turns out the photographer who (off-the-record) shot Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's twins, resulting in one of People's highest-selling issues ever, and who also shot the first images of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, captures more than celebrity babies. Brent Stirton is an accomplished photojournalist and a senior staff photographer for the assignment division of stock photography company Getty Images, New York. Just last week, Stirton won a highly coveted award, the 2008 Visa d'Or Award for Feature Photography, for his series on the slaughter of gorillas in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which pales in comparison to the wealth of other awards he has received. His photojournalism work is heartwrenchingly beautiful, sometimes haunting, horrifying, and perhaps NSFW. At the same time, the images are quite important to see, as he brings to light crucial topics like sustainability, the environment, HIV, and an array of devastating political issues. Stirton's work has been published by National Geographic Magazine, National Geographic Adventure, The Discovery Channel, Newsweek, The New York Times Magazine, The London Sunday Times Magazine, Le Express, Le Monde 2, GQ, Geo, Stern, CNN. Stirton travels an average of 10 months of the year on assignment, and actually also writes a blog for the Discovery Channel which regularly features pictures and stories from his travels.

Stirton's celebrity shoots are actually done anonymously and credited only to Getty Images, and Getty Images has only credited him on the record for the 2006 Jolie-Pitt baby shoot, not the 2008 shoot. In an interview with Photo District News, when asked whether he shot the 2008 photos, Stirton dodged the bullet with a "no comment." But he alluded that the answer was yes, and went on to say that he knows Angelina from his work in Sierra Leone, and that she gave him an award for his AIDS work.

This Just In: Jolie-Pitts Make a French Connection

According to E! Online, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and their ever-expanding brood of cuties have closed on a three-year lease on a stunning pre-Roman estate in the south of France.

The bigger-than-life manse, called Chateau Miraval, is located in the village of Brignol, near Aix-en-Provence. It features 35 bedrooms (perhaps to house all of the Jolie-Pitts' future children), an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a sauna and jacuzzi, separate his-and-hers gyms, and a massive banquet hall.

The 1,000-acre property is planted with 13 varieties of olives, boasts its own forest, stream, and lake, and even has a moat. There are over 20 fountains, as well as an aqueduct, and the terraced hillsides are sometimes dotted by bucolic images of grazing horses and goats.

Word is that the Jolie-Pitts will try to move in within three months. They're currently staying in Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's gorgeous villa in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat.

This Just In: Details on the Jolie-Pitts' French Abode

On Wednesday, Pop reported that the Jolie-Pitts have relocated their family of six to the French Riviera to Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's gorgeous villa in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. Brad and Angelina reportedly set up camp there in anticipation of the birth of their fifth child, which they hope to have in France to honor Angelina's late mother, Marcheline Bertrand. Being the shelter-obsessed gal that I am, I wouldn't want the Jolie-Pitts to live anywhere less than palatial during their extended stay. As you can see from the photo above, that's clearly not the case. According to Real Estalker, the Florentine-style hill-top home, Villa Maryland, boasts "a year-round staff of 12 and features a lovely swimming pool, meticulously manicured grounds, plenty of privacy, and a view of the Mediterranean over a small yacht harbor." If that weren't enough to keep them happy and entertained, the neighborhood is also home to Bono, Andrew Lloyd Weber, and rumors have it, Bill Gates — what an interesting party that would be!
