Drinking wine is more popular than ever, and now the oenophile trend is extending to home decor as well. Lately, I've noticed the iconic stemmed wine-glass shape is showing up in clever serving pieces — such as this Jansen + Co. Ming Oil and Vinegar Set ($28) — as well as candle holders, light fixtures, and one very cool doorbell.

While rumors have been swirling for several years that Candy Spelling was quietly shopping around her Holmby Hills mansion, the home is now officially for sale. And at $150 million, it's the most expensive home on the market in the United States.
The house, which is built on the former site of Bing Crosby's Hollywood home, is a 56,000-square-foot mansion built in a French chateau style and sits on over 4.6 acres.

Tyler Velten, a student at the Yale School of Architecture, was recently featured in the New York Times article Lighting Changes Everything. However, Tyler wasn't interviewed for his architectural projects. Instead, his artistic re-use of found objects and repurposing of Craigslist furniture and even the hated plastic bag were featured in the article.

I need your help! I just moved into a one-bedroom in New Orleans, and will be living on my own for the first time. My bedroom is furnished but in my living room, I have a television and TV stand, and that's it.

The list of 100 reasons to get rid of stuff that I discovered last week was pretty comprehensive, but somehow, I suspected that you all would have some more great ideas for getting rid of junk. So for last weekend's Open House, I asked readers to share your secrets for shedding unwanted books, clothes, home wares, electronics, and anything else cluttering up your house.

Ever since I saw this list of 10 things you can stop cleaning right now — much of which involves disposing of things rather than washing them — I've been wondering how we can make housework easier without making landfills fuller. So in the Open House this weekend, I asked you guys to share your house-cleaning shortcuts.
Several users mentioned the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, which is also one of my must-have cleaning tools.

All you design junkies out there probably know Yanko Design, which is a great blog devoted to the modern aesthetics of technology, interiors, architecture, and industrial design. Now comes the news that Yanko has opened an online store filled with crave worthy designs.
Yanko partnered with a number of luxe brands, including Eva Solo and Umbra, to fill out its inventory.
