Nooooo!
Sad news to hear they are completely shutting down. I've bought in the past the most beautiful glass ornaments from them and terra-cotta pots from England.
This is too too sad - I loved them. Their garden tools were great.
Sad no!! They sold over priced garbage
I never shopped there because its so overpriced, but I may head over there to take advantage of their closing sale.
Although I could never afford anything from your company I loved the catalogue and it was my garden dream wish catalogue. I'll miss it very much. Thank you Terry clavet
Smith & Hawken had many great products and I loved shopping there even if they were over priced. The items I have purchased from them have lasted me many years. It is sad to see them closing their doors but I have found many of the same products available for a lot less money at Outdora.com. Their website looks great, they have a huge selection of outdoor items and they offer a great value. I called them today and their customer service people said they were getting swamped with calls from old Smith & Hawken customers. So, if you are looking for a less expensive alternative to Smith & Hawken check out Outdora.com
A TRUE LOSS!! THERE IS NOTHING COMPARABLE TO SMITH AND HAWKEN. I , AS WELL AS MANY PEOPLE THAT I KNOW, ARE DISGUSTED WITH SCOTTS CO. AND WILL BOYCOTT THEIR PRODUCTS. A TRULY POOR BUSINESS DECISION AND VERY SHORT-SIGHTED. THIS STORE WILL TRULY BE MISSED FOR THEIR SUPERIOR QUALITY HOME AND GARDEN ITEMS.
the last several years there has been nothing but made in china crap-found at any other cheap retailer. management has gone down and they have been floating aimlessly in a large sea for years. it's about time it officially failed. too much inventory in the store and not enough quality product. my teak purchases from a decade ago are superior to the cheap harvest of today. i hope it sinks quickly!
After Scott's purchased the S&H things were never the same. Just cheap crap from China sold at too expensive prices.
Smith & Hawken was the benchmark in the industry for design and quality. At vintagecountryhills.com we have always tried to follow their high standards for patio teak furniture. Unfortunately they are out of business as victims of all the cheap stuff brought from China by several importers. We believe there is room in the market for Premium Grade A teak furniture retailers and that is why we have all our furniture manufactured by first class producers in Indonesia.
I thought they were overpriced as did a couple of the anon. commenters, I do wish their employees well I've been there (unemployed)
