It's no secret that I adore most everything, OK everything, that has the Eames label attached to it. Unfortunately, I can't afford one bit of it . .

The shape of Belgian designer Gaëtan Van de Wyer's Bulb Chair (price available upon request) reminds me of a Dr. Seuss illustration. It's made of eco-friendly materials like rattan and water hyacinth, and eliminates the need for a reading light, since one is built right into the chair.

Last year on The City, I noticed Olivia Palermo's mirrored pillows, which were a bit glitzy Old Hollywood, but still had a muted, quiet palette. I found look-alikes over at Jayson Home and Garden, the Sheesha Pillows ($235-295, for 20 or 26 inches), but unfortunately they were still out of my budget. So I was ecstatic to recently find quite similar mirrored pillows for basically 12 percent of Jayson's price!

I've seen plenty of antique upholstered chairs at flea markets and thrift stores at affordable prices that are just begging for a makeover. But the trouble is that I don't have the time or the know-how to reupholster them myself. And the price to have them made over makes the deal not so cost-effective.

Are you lucky enough to see turning leaves in your neighborhood right now? Even in the Bay Area, red maple leaves and crisp orange oak leaves are dotting the sidewalks and parks around my home. I love the hues and shapes of turning Fall leaves, as well as how designers translate the pattern into their work.

Hi Casa,
CB2 used to have a rug called Verse (in white with black handwriting, $300-500, right). They no longer carry it and I really want it. The only rug I can find that's remotely close is the DWR Manuscrit Rug ($3,400, left), and that's way out of my price range.
