Do You Have Bamboo Blinds?

Bamboo blinds are an ideal way to give your home privacy without blocking out all of the light. I also love their rich, brown hue, and that they're made of a sustainable material. Roundup: Rattan Dining Chairs

Heidi and Spencer never were my favorite characters on The Hills, but I did always have an eye for the rattan bar stools in their kitchen. Rattan, as you may know, is essentially thin, pliable stems of palm, making these chairs perfectly appropriate for a California crib. There is a beachy vibe to them, but I think they work well in any atmosphere. I especially like the trapezoid-shaped back of these and the cushioned seat.

If you're a fan, you'll be happy to know you can purchase similar seats for under $100 to around $300. In other words, you don't have to earn a paycheck from MTV to call them your own. See a few similar rattan stools and dining chairs when you read more.

I recently did some catching up on The Hills and noticed these beautiful textiles hanging on a banister in a fabric store where Stephanie Pratt and Lauren Conrad were shopping. I've written about this type of textile before, and it's pretty trendy these days. Can you name it?

This Just In: Audrina Patridge Heads Back to the Hills

Audrina Patridge has opted for greener pastures than the backyard guest house of Lauren Conrad's house in the Hollywood Flats, and purchased her own three-bedroom, 2.5-bath digs in the Hollywood Hills for $1.29 million. We all knew that she'd moved out of Conrad's digs, but finally I've got the deets. The listing for the property reads:

This new construction Spanish Villa has a spectacular view over looking the city! It has three bedrooms & two and a half baths, & a huge gourmet chef's kitchen. The kitchen features a separate convection oven, 6 burner gas stove, built-in microwave, wine refrigerator and side by side refrigerator, & a center island. The entertainer's patio is like a resort w/ built in BBQ, refrigerator.

I guess it's not a far cry from Conrad's Spanish-style villa, so Audrina should feel right at home! Check out these pics for the full tour:

This Just In: Lauren Conrad Quits the Hills, Geographically

Rumor has it that reality star slash fashion designer Lauren Conrad plans to leave her two bedroom Hollywood Hills rental, which she shares with Audrina Patridge, for a charming 3,009 square foot, three bedroom, two and a half bath Spanish style villa on the Hollywood flats just off Sunset Boulevard. Do you hear that? The Hollywood flats. The house was last listed at $2,495,000, but the final sale price is unknown. It features a detached guest house with an additional bedroom and bathroom, refinished hardwood floors, a custom kitchen with Lagos Azul counters and high-end appliances, Carrara marbled baths, a pool and yard, as well as original wrought iron work, moldings, antique light fixtures, and Spanish floor tiles. She is said to have been shopping for a house for a year now, and is set to move into her dream pad in six weeks or so. Of the mansion, a realtor source tells Page Six, "The house is beautiful inside and out, Lauren has found herself a gem. This area is so happening right now." What do you think? This Just In: Faith Hill and Tim McGraw List Their Hills Manse

Country singin' couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have put their sprawling 10,500-square-foot, six-bedroom, five-bath Beverly Hills mansion on the market for a measly $14.8 million, according to Real Estalker. The property description reads:

Mediterranean estate w/ grand views & privacy in prestigious Beverly Park South. Situated on over 4 acres the estate offers sweeping panoramic views. Grand two story entry features limestone floors, large skylight & wrap around staircase. This home is highlighted by a spacious and elegant master suite w/ his & her baths connecting to a state of the art gym. Gourmet kitchen w/ stainless steel appliances, large open formal dining room w/ step down living room. Manicured gardens w/ luxurious pool.

I'm really loving the exterior, and the structure itself, and "sweeping panoramic views" sound pretty fab to me. But, I'm not too keen on some of their nouveau riche décor choices (faux wall treatments, so much beige). I'm sure all of their furnishings are high quality, but the interior doesn't seem to have much flavor, flow, or any cohesive style . . . a shabby chic pink dining room and then an Art Deco brick red sitting room? Lilly Pulitzer to Debut Bedding Line For Garnet Hill

Palm Beach prep is coming home. Pink and green queen Lilly Pulitzer will debut a new home goods collection for Garnet Hill in January. The line will include bedding and bath accessories in her signature happy chic colors. Bedding designs will include "Truly Lilly, " "Classic Lilly," and "Trend Lilly" with sheets, quilts, comforter covers, shams, pillow covers, coverlets, and bedskirts. The bath designs will include a shower curtain in starfruit yellow; Chinoiserie towels in hibiscus pink, starfruit yellow and surf blue; a Chinoiserie tufted bath rug in hibiscus pink, starfruit yellow and surf blue, and a juice stand shower curtain in turquoise.

This isn't the first time Lilly has entered the interiors business. The company has had other bedding collections, but they've ceased production. From this sneak peek image of the collection, it seems to be much more contemporary. And the quilting is beautiful!

When my aunt was growing up, she bought a stack of quilting fabric squares from her local Lilly shop in Palm Beach and sewed her very own Lilly Pulitzer quilt. To this day, she still owns it and I've always been covetous. I guess now she won't be the only one with a Palm Beach princess bedroom.

Ben Stiller Meets the Market

Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor have put their 10-bedroom, 11-bath Hollywood Hills compound on the market for a cool $12.5 million.

The 1929 Spanish-style spread includes two houses and a one-bedroom guest house on an acre of lushly landscaped grounds. It boasts beautiful terracotta tiles and colorful inlays, a magnificent pool, an outdoor dining and living area with built-in seating, French doors, three fireplaces, six garage bays, hardwood flooring, and naturally, a home theater. The house looks flawless and is a great example of a California hacienda-style home. But what really impresses me is the property's privacy. Los Angeles has plenty of homes over $10 million sitting on a mere acre, and it baffles me that people would pay so much to live so close to their neighbors. The lush landscaping on Stiller's home though seems to offer ideal seclusion. See photos when you read more.

Etsy Find: Janet Hill Studios Paintings

For those of us who daydream over shelter magazine spreads and redecorate in our heads, the paintings of Stratford artist Janet Hill are tempting eye candy. On her Etsy site, she notes, "As a result of living in a cold climate for six months of the year, I've developed a strong interest in the beauty of interiors. My inspiration lies in interior, furniture, and fashion design, as well as films. I love the glamour and beauty of interior surroundings."

Perhaps my favorite print of Janet's is this Zucchini Blossoms Print ($11). The open shelving in the center of this photo features elegant dishes, and the cool, green cabinetry and countertops overflow with a Summer garden's bounty.
