Sep 9 2009 - 9:00am The “presiding grande dame of West Coast interior design,” Kelly Wearstler, is featured in a six-page profile in the Sept. 14 issue of The New Yorker.
I've always considered Wearstler (pronounced "Worst-ler") an enigma — wife of a hotel mogul, author, Top Design judge, crimped-hair enthusiast, Southern belle, ex-Playboy model — but her design skill is irrefutable.

I love Wearstler's crazy outfits on Top Design — even though I admit I don't know much about her as a designer. I'm curious to read this profile!
1her made nice design, good designer.....
2I am loving that chair!
3That painting is amazing! Does anyone know who did it? It's huge!!!! Kelly Wearstler has the best taste....that is so awesome- I want one!
4I think her "style" should be called Chaotic!! Also, if she designs by instinct ("how it feels") that means it won't be her client's style, doesn't it?? Anyway, I'm not that into her designs but she cracks me up on Top Design with her crazy outfits and hairstyles!! She is unique, for sure.
