Made for the Italian company Moroso, these Ron Arad-designed chairs are simultaneously graceful and masculine—often a difficult feat to pull off. The Three Skin Chair is produced using multilayered lacquered beech plywood, curved varnished copperwood, and ironwood.
I couldn't find a price for this beauty anywhere on line (any Casa readers out there find one?), but you can inquire about the price at Moroso.

Carving some funky faces in your jack-o'-lantern this Halloween? Show off your pumpkin's pearly whites by scraping the outer orange pumpkin skin from your pumpkin's teeth. To do so, use a linoleum knife to peel off the outer skin, and then use a regular knife to finish shaping the teeth.

Leave it to Marc Jacobs to make Halloween décor chic, humorous, and pumpkin-free. Strolling through San Francisco, I stumbled upon his window display and I fell absolutely in love with his pink cow ghost. In her oversize coat and pink skin, the mannequin looks a bit tortured, too.

If you're going to invest in outdoor furniture this Summer, you want to know that it will withstand the elements. Choosing furniture made from teak is always a good idea, since this wood is highly resistant to the wear and tear of sun and rain. In addition, look for outdoor fabrics from Sunbrella.

As we inch further into Summer weather, I'm tempted to spend every moment possible out of doors. But all of that sun isn't good for your skin. If you're tired of tanning, take shelter beneath an umbrella.

Pumice stones do more than buff your rough skin — they can also remove stains. Toilet stains, that is. If you have super-stubborn toilet rings in your bowl, don't give up hope or turn to abrasive, toxic cleansers.

Hi CasaSugar,
I'm wondering if you can help me. I want my bedroom walls to look like this silvery/striated color on the Z Gallerie Borghese Chest ($799). Is paint an option or must I find this wallpaper?

Stainless steel has magical deodorizing/odor neutralizing power that can wipe the pungent scents from things like garlic, onion, and fish away from your skin. There isn't a clear chemical explanation for this, but it's been hypothesized that sulfurous compounds are somehow catalyzed by the steel. So, some clever entrepreneur came up with a stainless steel "soap" product, essentially a block of metal in soap shape, to rid your skin of whatever stink ails you.

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice knows how to spend time with VIPs such as Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Moratinos: she does so in the comfort of a wingback chair.
Wingback, or wing chairs, are high-backed, upholstered easy chairs whose panels, or "wings," project forward from the sides of the back and curve downward to meet the roll arms. Originally, the wings were designed to block drafts in old homes, and to protect ladies' skin from a fireplace's heat.

As much as a I hate to have bugs in my personal space, I'm also repelled by having chemicals on my skin. I prefer to be free of those artificial substances whenever possible. When it comes to keeping bugs away, I live by the same rules.
