    Casa Quickie: Bon Voyage Wrinkles!
Apr 14 2008 - 1:00pm If you leave your clothes in the dryer after the cycle has ended, your clothes will wrinkle. Since you probably don't want to sit around and watch that pot boil, and most dryers aren't equipped with a loud siren to let you know when the time's up, wrinkles are kind of inevitable. To smooth out the wrinkles, throw a slightly damp, white towel in your dryer with your clothes.

I totally do this in the morning ALL the time, if any of my trousers or blouses are slightly wrinkled from being crunched in my WAY overstuffed closet. It worked amazingly!

hmmm...all the dryers i've ever experienced have an end of load buzzer, which is really loud and obnoxious lol. but the towel thing is good if you just don't feel like babysitting your laundry all day long.

Question -- does the towel leave lint on your clothes? I have to do my towels and clothes separately for that reason.

Personally, I just use a clean white dish towel, so no fluff/lint!

If I leave stuff in the dryer, I usually just turn it on the low-heat cycle and done! Never needed to add a damp towel.

I tend just to just flick a little water in there and pop it on. Works just as well.

I put things in the dryer on low for a spin while getting ready, and they come out wrinkle-free. No damp towel needed!

My dryer has a wrinkle free setting and believe me the clothes can stay in there for days and no wrinkles!

One of my male cousins filled me in on this trick a few years ago.

I just use a damp wash cloth for this. It creates steam. I use it to soften & unwrinkle the clothes that get hung to dry, by putting them in the dryer, with the damp cloth, for 10 minutes.
