Love It or Hate It? Ladies' Garments as Wall Décor
I love the look of glam party dresses hung on the wall, but these gloves and vintage corsets seem a little risqué to me. Still, there's a vintage, feminine feel to this room, and the ladies' garments used here certainly contribute to that particular ambiance.

This pale pink chandelier from Lumos, a Tel Aviv lighting company, has a delicate shape and hints of Moroccan influence. It's definitely a statement maker for a room, but the pink color may be a turnoff. What's your take?

I love it when homeowners get creative with their staircases, and this design is no exception. While it's a little more traditional in pattern and color, I find it utterly charming. The only problem that I can see is that it is potentially difficult to decorate around.

My grandmother was a painter and also a decorator, so she was very particular about the way her studio looked. Afraid her paints might ruin her studio floors, she painted them all black and then called in her friends for a splatterpainting party, purposefully painting her floors à la Jackson Pollock. This Urban Outfitters Painter's Chair ($298) is a bit like those floors, except much less inspired.

I've seen plenty of hotels and bedrooms with a nightstand between two beds which has a dual table lamp, essentially two lamps that share the same base. But I don't think I've ever seen a dual lampshade. What do you think of this Thumprints Jack Dual Table Lamp ($529)?

Interior designer Nancy Van Natta created a Plexiglas and glass panel of a teenage girl for a bathroom featured at the 2009 San Francisco Decorator Showcase. It's definitely a fun touch for a teen's bathroom, but I can't see this element having staying power beyond a year or two.

Love It or Hate It? Cardboard Fireplace
I spotted this Cardboard Fireplace ($24) at Urban Outfitters and I kind of love it. For one, the bricks remind me of the cardboard bricks I used to play with when I was a kid. And two, I love a good faux fireplace — my "crackling fire" DVD plays on repeat in the Winter.

I'm trying to decide where these Peter Harvey-designed Tongue-in-Cheek chairs ($5,900) would be most appropriate. A wacky dentist office, perhaps? Available in some candy-bright colors, these chairs are built out of UV-resistant GRP (glass-reinforced plastic).

Strolling through downtown San Francisco, I came across this window display of a men's clothing store. To decorate for Halloween, the shop has covered the faces of their mannequins with googly eyes. I can't decide if I find these decorations spooky or just weird.
