Mariah Carey Shares a Peek of Her Twins' Nursery

When Mariah Carey welcomes her twins this month, they'll be coming home to lavish nurseries in both Bel-Air and NYC. The songstress gave an exclusive interview and tour of the babies-to-be's rooms to Life & Style this week, revealing that the nurseries for her son and daughter match but aren't identical so they can "celebrate the twins as separate entities."

Forgoing a pink and blue color scheme, the classically decorated nursery is primarily outfitted in green, with pink accents (and butterflies, of course) scattered throughout. The highlight – a night-sky painted ceiling that the mama-to-be finds herself staring at as she awaits her babies' arrival, "To me, it symbolizes wanting my children to dream as big as possible and to let their imaginations be unbridled." Casa Verde: Maria Menounos' Eco Outdoor Makeover

In collaboration with JCPenney, Danny Seo recently gave Maria Menounos' backyard an eco makeover for "Access Green" on Access Hollywood and Life & Style. This beautiful image is a peek at the made-over farmhouse table, which was updated with some wildflowers in a galvanized bucket, vintage silverware, some simple white dishes and glass water bottles, colorful tumblers filled with organic lemonade, a bowl of gorgeous green limes, and an understated yet chic capiz lantern. There's nothing fancy or unattainable about this table setting, but it's still completely and utterly glamorous.
I thought I'd round up a few similar eco outdoor accessories to help you achieve the look of this eco table setting without being a drain on the environment. Of course, you may already own many of these items, so by all means, use them instead! Or, hunt down similar accessories in thrift and antique stores.

Get the Diet: Fergie Ferg

Whether or not we all agree on liking Fergie, one thing we can all agree on is that the girl is fit. We always see her working out and so it's no secret that she actually works to get those abs and legs. Since we all know that working out is only half of the equation, what about her diet?

Well my friends over at Life & Style got the scoop on her diet from Carrie Watt, Fergie's nutritionist, on what FF eats to complete the equation.

Here are highlights:

BREAKFAST: Fergie begins her day with a protein-packed six-egg-white veggie omelet, seasoned with salsa or hot sauce. A smart start on the go? Pack two slices of 100-percent whole-grain toast with 2 tablespoons of low-fat peanut butter.

MID-A.M. BITE: Top 4 ounces of low-fat or no-fat plain organic yogurt with 2 tablespoons of low-sugar granola (such as Bear Naked). “It’s low in sugar and has protein,” says Wiatt, who suggests pairing it with a bowl of fiber-filled berries. (Cottage cheese makes a great yogurt alternative.)

There's more, including lunch and dinner ideas, so

LUNCH: A Fergie fave? Mixed greens, a quarter of an avocado (for healthy fat), 4 ounces of shredded chicken (for protein) and half an antioxidant-rich grapefruit, all tossed with a nonfat dressing. (The same ingredients can be rolled into a 100-percent whole-grain tortilla!)

MIDDAY SNACK: Fergie’s go-to munchie? Light organic cheese (like a mozzarella stick or 1 ounce of Jarlsberg Lite) and rice crackers with flaxseed. (You can eat eight!) She never goes anywhere without first tucking fiber-filled Kashi bars into her purse.

PRE-SUPPER NOSH: Wiatt whips up a pureed vegetable soup - sans cream. At only 50 calories per cup, the small indulgence is super filling. Other lite treats? Carrots dipped in 2 tablespoons of hummus, a cup of air-popped popcorn or almonds!

DINNER: Fergie eats salmon (rich in Omega-3’s, which make hair and skin shiny and prevent bloating) and half a cup of whole-wheat couscous. She piles on 2 cups of veggies and adds 2 tablespoons of chili sauce or honey Dijon mustard for flavor. (Grilled balsamic chicken, brown rice and a side of sautéed spinach is another great dinner option.)

According to Life & Style magazine, the latest diet trend in Hollywood doesn't involve loading up on carbs or eating in the zone. It's much simpler and in my opinion, much more fabulous. It's the Red Wine Diet and the secret to Jessica Simpson's weight transformation. Lucky for me, I love red wine and already drink it on a regular basis! If you want to give this new diet a try and need a wonderful red, why not try Spain's Protos Ribera de Duero? It's fun to experiment with new wines from lesser known regions. With its velvety finish, complex aromas, and dark cherry color, this wine pairs nicely with a small portion of steak, a carving of lean pork, or slice of pizza.

Robert Verdi's Top Five Fall Trends

This week's Life & Style magazine checks in with celebrity home-style guru Robert Verdi to get his top five home trends for Fall. With the exception of animal prints - will they ever stop making a comeback? - I'm really excited about all of these looks, especially the yellow accessories.

The Life & Style spreads also features some other must haves; I'm really loving the cheerful citrine Anthroplogie Backyard Wine Glass. Here are Verdi's five Fall trends to watch.

Animal-print pillows and area rugs add a sexy but tasteful touch.
Organic wood baskets are great for stylish storage!
