If you're a fan of the shape and look of antique keys, you'll be happy to hear that they're popping up all over the design world. They're such a classic element, too, that they're unlikely to go out of style. See my ideas for decorating with keys in your home.

While it's not recommended to hide an extra set of keys around your house, it seems as if most of us do. Do you or don't you?

Though it has its origins in ancient Greece, the key pattern is a very modern-looking motif, and the decoration is particularly ubiquitous at this very moment. Jonathan Adler is rather obsessed with the pattern, using it to add a chic vibe to rugs and other accents, such as the Greek Key Crewel Pillow ($58, above left).
It seems you guys like this look too: CiaoBella recently found these sleek window shades with a key pattern, and Ginasugar bookmarked West Elm's wall art version ($29 to $99, above right).

I never really thought to look at the Versace Home Collection. In fact, I've been somewhat avoiding it because I figured it might be tacky, New Jersey mafia style, and I've seen enough of that in my lifetime. Thanks to a suggestion from GIOVS, though, I made my way over to the site and was pleasantly surprised at how many good-looking pieces they sell.

Since you named Jonathan Adler your favorite product designer of 2008, and since Greek key patterns are perennially pleasant, I find it highly likely that Jonathan Adler's Greek Key Pillow ($82.50, marked down from $165), will meet your approval. The pattern is painstakingly embroidered in needlepoint, and its chic monochromatic colors will make it welcome in any home.

This decorative key holder ($28) from Etsy seller Yellowcanoe would be great for keys, jewelry, or any other small items you need to get off of a dresser or table top. Each piece of birch is hand cut, sanded, and painted by the seller, and the Moroccan design was hand carved and block printed by Yellowcanoe as well. This would be a great present for someone in your life who needs a little organization, or who is always misplacing her keys (um .

There's something about mustaches that intrigues me; I'd never want my guy to grow one, but whenever I see a particularly stylized handlebar mustache on a hipster dude, I'm fascinated. This probably also explains my fascination with the Mustache Key Holder ($30). Would you hang it on your wall?

Don't get me wrong: I absolutely adore Rubie Green textiles. But the label's stylish and eco-conscious fabrics are not exactly wallet-conscious. This cheerful, Chippendale-esque Tillinghast fabric goes for $90 a yard.

A console table in your foyer can make a great landing strip for your keys, purse, and other daily essentials. But it can also just be pretty and fill an otherwise dead space. I love this foyer by interior designer Anne Coyle.
