There was talk at one point by WWD that the villa would be purchased by a business partner of the fashion house, but The Times reports that filthy rich Russian restaurateur Arkady Novikov is buying the property for $52.3 million. He has apparently bid nearly six million over the asking price, in order to secure it as he gets his finances in order.
