I’m going to cross my fingers here and just hope that a certain ex of mine isn’t reading. Two weeks holed up in a boring town with my boyfriend’s parents and — pulling my hair out not in the cards — the only activity that helped me pass time with his ‘rents was a competitive game of backgammon. Before Scrabulous and Facebook stalking, some people actually did entertain themselves with classic games, and lucky for me, I happened to be a wiz.

Sometimes I think there's not enough "dropping a line" in the world. Good old-fashioned notes, updating your friends on what's new in your life, and asking about theirs. Yeah, there's prolific Facebook wall and Myspace commenting, but a part of me feels that that's all for show.

According to TMZ, Beverly Hills real estate agent Josh Flagg, star of Bravo's Million Dollar Listing, was arrested for allegedly swiping high-priced art that was part of the estates he was handling. He has since been released on bail to the tune of $100,000. The items he was arrested for purloining include works by Marc Chagall and Pablo Picasso; I guess he has a thing for cubism.
