While these shelves might usually hold books, framed photos, or sculptural objects, this homeowner has decided to use them to display a cowboy boot collection. Do you showcase unusual collections at your home?

Whenever I visit friends in Austin, I try to drop by Adelante, a hip, laid-back women's clothing and lifestyle boutique. The shop, which has been in Austin since 1992, and called San Antonio home before that, is a family-owned boutique that offers everything from shoes, dresses, and jewelry to home accessories and vintage, refurbished furniture.
The owner, Tricia Roberts, has a great eye for fashionable, affordable finds, and I always find some must-have item when I stop by.

Vermont-based gardening company Gardener's is one of my absolute favorite resources for gardening and landscaping supplies and advice. I recently received its Fall catalog in the mail, and I was impressed with all of the great Fall-related gardening finds that are currently available through the retailer.
I'm totally coveting this Orchard Rack ($99.95).

In addition to plenty of other treasures, French model and designer Ines de la Fressange used a handbag and a single boot as decorative accessories to dress up a chest of drawers in her office in Paris. Seeing as the items are works of art in their own right, and her other furnishings are downright glamorous as well, I think she's pulled it off. But just any old shoe wouldn't do.

This pair of mid-century boot molds have been cobbled into custom lamps ($1,250), but you'll have to supply your own shades. Hmm . .

I'm not quite a cowgirl, but I do think this Cowboy Boot Table Lamp ($245) has charm. Part of me feels like it's too Old West for my urban dwelling, and the other part is thinking, "Shucks! Who cares if it doesn't go?"

When a family expands, often a just-right-sized home becomes too cramped. This was the case with a family that approached Bowers Design Build, an award-winning firm located in Northern VA, whose work has been featured on HGTV.
The client in this particular case loved the location of their 1920s Cape Cod home, but felt that it was too small.

Hello CasaSugar,
I was wondering if you would have any advice on dealing with noisy upstairs neighbors in an apartment complex. I've already spoken to them about it, but honestly, it's not their fault! The noise isn't music or anything, it's just that the ceiling is so horrifically thin that I can hear every step they take (I live below two guys) as if they were wearing lead boots!
