Tie-dye seems to be a resurging trend in the fashion world - one that even Tory Burch is heralding - but I'll certainly never be adding the groovy style to my wardrobe. It seems, though, that the dip-dyed material may be gaining momentum in the world of interiors, too. Anthropologie's new Ocean Swell Curtain ($138-$198) has 1970 written all over it. Would you bring these curtains into your humble hippie abode?

Desire/Acquire: Ruffled Shower Curtain

It was love at first sight when I first set eyes on Anthropologie's Flamenco Shower Curtain ($118). Those cascading ruffles can't help but make a girl's heart go pitter-patter. The same goes for India Rose's Ruffled Shower Curtain ($110). Unfortunately, neither panel is very wallet-friendly - especially considering that shower curtains go for less than $30 at places like Bed Bath & Beyond. Luckily, I've found a ruffled curtain to help you get the look of these beauties for much, much less! Wanna see it?

Nice and New: Papier-Mâché Animal Busts

Hunters bask in their shooting glory by mounting their prized prey on their walls, and some people can even fill a dining room wall with antlers galore. But I found another type of taxidermy to take pride in - a papier-mâché Savannah Story Bust ($68). These jungle-friendly animal heads are made by Haitians to honor their African heritage. Crafted from recycled cement bags and old French books, these perfectly captured pieces of art are eco-conscious, magical, a lesson in the 3 Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle), and perhaps best of all, no animals were harmed in their making. What do you think of these critters?

Assisted Living: Exotic Indian Bedroom Ideas

"I just bought this bedding from Anthropologie to redecorate my room. I'm looking for an Indian exotic influenced flair without being too literal and I want to keep the color palette spicy and exotic.

I'm afraid if I choose one of the colors from the quilt, though, it will be a bit overpowering. I was also thinking of draping my canopy bed with saris or sari-like fabric. I need suggestions for the walls and furniture as well as any other ideas or input."

I love that bedding, annajeb. Since it's such a busy pattern, you might want to consider decorating with solid-colored fabrics if you decide to do a canopy. You should definitely work within the color palette established by the bedding, but stick to a solid color, or try a few solid colors that pick up the colors in the bedding.

For wall color, you could either keep it crisp and white, or use a more spicy color, as you indicated you were interested in doing. You might want to use an accent color for the wall behind the bed, and then paint the rest of the walls white.

As far as furniture, I can see darker, heavier wood working well for accent furniture. Look for mango wood or sheesham wood.

Assisted Living: Bedding à la Anthropologie

CasaSugar Community member tarabeth asked in the Assisted Living group, "Who makes bedding (quilts in particular) similar to the quality and style of Anthropologie?"Good question, tarabeth! I love Anthropologie's bedding. Some other great retailers for equally romantic, bohemian bedding are India Rose, Garnet Hill, Ballard Designs, Brocade Home, The Company Store, and Plover Organic.

Nice and New: Anthropologie Accessories

I've always thought that Anthropologie does furniture, lighting, and kitchen wares really well. But I've felt that the shop's decorative accessories are often overlooked, either too contrived or just not special. There are a handful of new accessory arrivals at Anthropologie now, though, that I really love. This Borinda Box ($44), for example, is very simple but beautiful with its subtle pinched corners, rich pink felt, and smooth bamboo top. It's not the usual girly, shabby chic box you'd expect from Anthro - much more modern. And this handmade Repurposed Dome Clock ($998), at a much different price point, is absolutely magical and one-of-a-kind. Here are a few more wonderful new things (and great gifts!):

Featuring finches, lories, and parakeets behind a delicate copper wire, the Anthropologie Songbird Chandelier ($798) is a bit gimmicky, but I can still definitely see its appeal. It would look great along with some busy, bird-themed wallpaper - like the one in Domino editor Rita Konig's foyer. But for a piece that requires a very specific design scheme, I certainly wouldn't spend nearly $800.
