This promotional photo for 30 Rock features a very smartly appointed office. But while many elements in the room are handsome, the tufted-leather nail-head trim sofa that Tina Fey sits on is really the most eye-catching. There's a name for this particular style of sofa, do you know it? It's a __________ sofa.

Is Your Microwave Clean?

On an episode from this past season of 30 Rock, Jack Donaghy, Vice President of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming at GE, announces the release of a new product: a pocket microwave oven. Luckily, that microwave is still the stuff of TV dreams. Since many of us are living with a dirty microwave oven in our homes, I can't imagine how dirty a "pocket" microwave oven might become. Desire/Acquire: Molded Plastic Rocker

The Eames Molded Plastic Rocker ($479) is a design classic. Originally produced in 1948, it's known as the RAR (rocking armchair rod) and was out of production for 30 years until Design Within Reach, with the Eames Office's blessing, started reproducing the design. The molded shell's deep seat is perfect for rocking a baby or relaxing on a front porch, and it's built from environmentally friendly molded polypropylene.

Overstock.com sells the Vinnie Cradle Chair ($157) at a significantly smaller price than the official Eames rocker. However, it's kid-sized, so be prepared for its diminutive proportions. I'm guessing that the small size is the loophole around which this chair can be made. While I'm all for good design within everyone's reach, I'm not so comfortable with such a blatant ripoff of the Eames's classic, graceful design. What about you? Would you buy this knockoff?

You needn't have sand below your feet or be rocking about on a sailing ship to enjoy a springtime siesta on a hammock. The rope mesh makes for a comfy lounging spot that'll give your garden or porch a new function. Hammocks range in price vastly, from about $30 to over $200. So, claiming one for yourself doesn't have to strain your budget. If you haven't already, I highly recommend penciling some hammock time into your Spring schedule.
