It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

I made the trees by stacking star-shaped gingerbread cookies. To keep them from toppling over, I inserted a shortened skewer down the center of the stack of stars before they cooled, and hardened, completely. Then I dusted them with icing sugar and dotted them with a few silver dragees.
