An Easy Update Modernizes These Antlers
Here's a post from Nancy from the Lovely Little Vignettes group.
My father-in-law had these sitting around in the backyard and graciously gifted them to us after I informed him that antlers are hip now. My husband created this copper-wire nest for a modern, edgier trophy look.

Get the Look: A Holiday Enchanted Forest
I was so smitten with the cozy, holiday décor in this magical forest-inspired living room from Swedish design magazine Skona Hem, I thought I'd help you re-create the look!
The plaid pillows, cozy throws, and luxurious velvet warm up the sofa and rocking chair. And I love the wooden bench as coffee table, topped with a rustic vessel filled with moss and candles. Some sweet faux taxidermy on the walls, a hanging copper pendant light, and a slew of mismatched green glass containers round out the earthy feel. For a festive touch, dress up the mini "Christmas trees" with small silver ball ornaments. Shop the rest of this scene below:
Love It or Hate It? Washed Ashore Lamp

Anthropologie's Washed Ashore Lamp ($228) is a one-of-a-kind piece made from reclaimed wood. With rusted nails and weathered bits of paint, it has a rustic, beachy, shipwrecked look to it. I can't say that I could find a place for it in my home. Then again, I don't yet own a seaside getaway. What are your thoughts on this lamp?
Fast & Easy Dinner: White Bean and Sausage Cassoulet
Traditionally, cassoulet is a slow-cooked dish that requires duck confit and dried beans. However, this recipe simplifies the technique and streamlines the ingredients. Hearty sausage replaces the confit, and canned white beans stand in for their time-consuming dried cousins. Fire-roasted tomatoes provide a rich thickness and a crispy topping of bread crumbs stirred with parmesan cheese is a flavorful finish. To make this dish the star of a meal that's ideal for Winter entertaining, start with a baked brie and offer gingerbread palmiers as dessert. Look at the recipe and read more
Decorating Ideas to Steal From Andrew's Vegetable Stand

Readymade recently posted photos and an interview with recent grad Andrew Milauckus, whose aesthetically pleasing Michigan produce stand is beyond adorable. While the exterior of his stand, Summertime, has a '50s vibe, the eclectic interior is a mix of styles. Check out my favorite ideas from his shop.
- Embrace a rustic look by painting exposed beamwork.
- To create a focal wall, use stencils to create a pattern. This chevron wall is one of my favorites.

Nice and New: The Sulis Table
If you love the look of rustic furnishings, then you'll be excited to hear that San Francisco-based design atelier Varian Designs has just added a new piece to its Timber Collection. The new Sulis table ($3,500) is the perfect occasional table for the green-minded set. Using a wedged tenon design and laser-cut steel brackets, this beautifully crafted table is actually built from fallen trees. Utilizing fallen ash trees in San Diego, CA, and a fallen walnut tree in Seattle, WA, for the table's top, and salvaged red oak from Wisconsin barns for the legs, this table proves that beauty often emerges from the most unexpected of places.
Get the Look: Rustic, Glam, and Goth Living Room
With its hip black tufted leather armchair, collection of taxidermy, gilded mirror, Union Jack pillow, and toile wallpaper, this room walks the tightrope between rustic, glam, and goth. The wallpaper itself was a one-off commission, and of course, each piece of taxidermy is unique. Add to that the disco ball and child's ballet costume hanging in the corner, and the curious wall piece reflected in the mirror, and the feeling of eclecticism runs high.
Your local retailers may not sell these exact furnishings, but you can still get this look in your home by mixing toiles with leather, a formal floor mirror with a shag rug, a dainty article of clothing with deer antlers. To learn how to get this look in your living room, read more
