Pimp Your Crib: Hoot! Retro Owl Themed Decor
Society has long associated owls with intelligence and wisdom, while Native American tribes have viewed the winged creatures as protectors against harm and evil spirits. It's no wonder many mamas-to-be have decided to bring this symbolism into their nurseries. Make a lovely lair for your lil night owl inspired by all the retro owl designs on the market. Most feature brown and orange color schemes from the '70s that complement the modern furniture available today. Peruse all our fabulous finds by clicking through the slideshow.
Nice and New: Marie Christophe Hibou Lamp
Apparently, last year's owl trend hasn't yet died down, because the Marie Christophe Hibou Lamp (inquire for price) is looking as of-the-moment as ever. I am utterly rapt by it. I was recently craving another Christophe fixture; I guess her glorious beaded creations haven't lost their appeal to me. I mean, how could they? Aside from Hibou's exquisite, playful wirework and colorful beading, I love how the heavy black shade balances miraculously on the visually light base, like a gentleman's top hat on a young girl. Refreshing. Fun. A hoot!
