If your Summer plans include outdoor picnics and barbecues, then your good china will probably be staying inside (as it should). These seven nonbreakable tableware options are great for kids who are eating outside, and moms with a modern sensibility will love all the cool design options.
Creative Jewelry Storage
Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member stephaniepoli from the Su Casa group:

I like displaying my jewelry for all eyes to see. Picking out my accessories for the day is a lot like shopping in a store. I pinned my brooches onto this flocked canvas and sorted other baubles into these patterned melamine bowls. You can find more pictures on my blog, Love&Lace.

Before and After: KateDavis's Faux Bois Tray Makeover

Sale Alert: Midsummer Markdowns at Jonathan Adler
Everybody loves a good scandal. Especially when it's the "scandalously priced markdowns" at Jonathan Adler. The always happy-chic shop has reduced a selection of accessories including dinnerware, bathware, porcelain frames, table linens, and rugs by 20 to 50 percent. I'm loving this equestrian prepster Chain Rug ($1,000 for the six-by-nine-foot size, reduced from $1,250). But it's more likely that I'll pony up for this cheerful blue melamine Acapulco Tray ($19.60, reduced from $28), which I featured back in April. Need any gifts? There are plenty of goodies on sale.
Nice and New: Jonathan Adler Acapulco Tray
It's finally Spring and aside from checking off your cleaning checklist, do you know what that means? Barbecues! Grilling up some burgers and tofu pups for friends and family is quite possibly my favorite way to entertain. But just because I'm not serving a delicacy doesn't mean my entertaining decor shouldn't be cute! I'd love to carry some ice-cold lemonades and potato salad on this new Jonathan Adler Acapulco Tray ($28). Made of melamine, it's durable and dishwasher safe, but its whimsical, Tord Boontje-esque wildlife design is superbly chic.
Love It or Hate It? Illustrated Melamine Tray
This Lardy Oval Melamine Tray ($18.95) would look great as a serving tray at a party, or as a melancholy catch all for your landing strip. Do you like it, too, or is it a little too fanciful for you?

Enough With the Pet Food Recalls Already!!
I really can't take much more of this. The recent pet food recall from Menu Foods was so sad, with all those poor cats and dogs getting sick and passing away. It looks like bad wheat gluten wasn't the only problem. The FDA announced that ANOTHER ingredient - rice protein concentrate - was also contaminated. This time the industrial chemical melamine is the culprit.
A different brand is affected this time, so listen up: a variety of Natural Balance Pet Foods products for both dogs and cats is being recalled.
If you use Natural Balance Venison and Brown Rice canned or bagged dog food, Venison and Brown Rice dog treats, or Venison and Green Pea dry cat food - STOP USING THEM IMMEDIATELY!!
Fit's Tips: Here's a list of all the brands that have been recalled. If you are unsure about what to feed your hungry pet, talk to your veterinarian.
