With an eye for eclectic design and a radar for discoveries with artistic talent, interior designer Taylor Jacobson is the type of person you want to shadow for a day of shopping.
Her eclectic spaces always include at least one showstopping piece — the type of piece that begs the question: "Who makes this?" Curious to know more about her design resources, we decided to get her short list of go-to artisans. Check out the five she can't live without!
"Jason is a remarkably talented lighting and furniture designer who works with metal, wood, leather, and repurposed objects in a very fluid way. I'm constantly inspired by his work. Recently he created a custom chandelier for my client's dining room, and it's now the centerpiece of the space. His lighting collection is available exclusively through Lawson-Fenning."
"Kelly is an inspiring artist and interior designer living in Los Angeles. I was first introduced to her KL Studio line of 'Geo' ceramic planters, dishware, and candles. Her latest creation is a series of handblown glass and metal pendant lights, available in custom colors and finishes. I love the little geometric bead detail on each."

The entertaining season has officially begun, which means we are readying our houses for all manner of guests! We like to welcome them with a seasonal wreath on our door, a beautifully scented house, and something special, like this star light. Of course, we will also try to clean up before they come over, but we can't promise anything.

Dark walls are a seriously bold design move, but when paired with the right accessories, the look is nothing short of spectacular. Inviting linens, oversize artworks, and metallic details keep this bedroom inviting as opposed to intimidating. We love this twist on a bedside pendant and can just imagine how the soft glow softens the room's ambience!
The piece: Robert Abbey Delta Duo Table Lamp
The price: $167
Why we want it: Prisms and colorblocking? This lamp basically answers all of our decor prayers in one perfect package. Designed by Robert Abbey for Lamps Plus, the Delta comes in three colors (turquoise, gold, and gray) and is just the right mix of trendy and timeless. This table lamp would be the perfect complement to any nightstand, desk, or side table, but we especially want to see it used in pairs, perhaps on an entryway console table! Tell us: where would you use this gorgeous lamp?
West Elm has a history of collaborating with a slew of diverse designers to create home goods, often with spectacular results. This Fall, the retailer tapped two distinctly different jewelry designers to create lighting that is beautiful enough to wear. Fans of Melissa Joy Manning's and Andrea Pico's jewelry will now be able to buy some bling — for their houses!
Much like the jewelry collections she is known for, Melissa Jo Manning's lighting pieces are earthy and natural. The satin-brass-finished iron-link pendants ($499 each) transcend trends and enhance their environment, rather than overwhelm. They also have a celebratory vibe, which is great if you are considering a little redecorating before the holidays!
An industrial designer by training, Andrea Panico of Pico Designs stayed true to her architectural roots when designing the two pieces in her collection for West Elm. Inspired by stained-glass, floor-to-ceiling windows in Mexico, Andrea's Pico Capuchinas Table Lamp ($199) and Round Chandelier ($499) are modern but timeless. "I believe that no matter how small, all the choices we make are design decisions," says Andrea. We couldn't agree more.
Chandeliers have a way of making even the dullest space feel somehow special. Normally, we wouldn't think to hang more than one in a room, but suddenly we are reconsidering. Instagram user tenny_rosyaria snapped this photo in a lighting store, but we are imagining the effect of hanging multiple crystal fixtures from our own ceilings. Imagine admiring a twinkling night sky — without ever leaving your couch.

There's something irresistibly inviting about copper. The rosy metallic has a way of making the most futuristic pieces (like these Tom Dixon pendants) feel glam but earthy. While 13 hung from the ceiling of a tall building could pass as a modern art installment, we're dreaming about the warmth a single one would bring to a smaller, more intimate space, like a bedroom.

The piece: Capiz Orb Pendant
The price: $129-$299
Why we want it: Despite the fact that they are made from seashells, there is something about these Capiz Orb Pendants that reminds us of freshly fallen snow. Available in three sizes, these honeycomb-patterned lights would be perfect, well, anywhere. Try them in a hallway, above a dining room table, or as a small bedside light. It is not easy to find lighting this flattering, so we won't blame you if you use one in every room!
