We sorted through the lineup of "professors," a short list of the nation's top designers, stylists, and executives, and although they clearly have plenty of good advice to share, we turned the tables and grilled five of them with the classic job interview questions we've all stumbled through — plus, what they'd wear to impress their potential bosses. So, do they get the gig? Read on, and tell us if you'd hire these pros in the comments!

We are longtime fans of iconoclastic interior designer Kelly Wearstler. Oft imitated but never duplicated, Kelly is known for her ever-evolving, over-the-top design style. What she isn't known for (yet) is her amazing Instagram feed. Through daily photos, Kelly reveals herself to be a true original, with a killer eye and a love for color, pattern, and the wonderfully wacky. Oh yes, she also has a seriously impressive wardrobe.
Here's what you have been missing in Wearstler Land.

We saw many well-dressed stars this week, but there were a handful of ladies who were extra inspiring. We especially loved Alexa Chung in her all-maroon look — who else can make a turtleneck look so chic? — Reese Witherspoon's boho-chic daytime outfit, and Sarah Jessica Parker's fair isle Splendid sweater and purple jeans pairing. But that's not all; there were many more celebs who stole our attention, including Gwen Stefani in camouflage, Julianne Hough in a menswear-inspired tuxedo, and Beyoncé in leather pants and sneakers. Check them all out and find out what about their looks wowed us.
Like the title suggests, Kelly Wearstler's new design book, Rhapsody, reads almost like a jazz composition — colorful and free-flowing, but remarkably cohesive. While each space carries her lavishly layered aesthetic, Wearstler manages to break down the philosophy of her "more is more" motto through simple explanations. We're taking it a step further by honing in on three of the book's most memorable design moments. Keep reading to see the pieces we're shopping for to replicate the look.
Gwen Stefani was spotted exiting Nail Garden in LA looking funky fab as ever in camouflage skinny jeans, this Kelly Wearstler black and white cardigan ($475), L.A.M.B. lace-up sandals, a green Chanel bag, and Christian Dior cat-eye sunglasses. Camouflage is huge for Fall, so follow Gwen's lead and score a pair of skinny jeans or leggings in the print. We love this pair by Elizabeth and James ($228) and these Tripp NYC camo jeans ($69). Dress it down with a cardigan and sandals for day, then dress it up with a blazer and booties by night.
This week's top stars ran the style gamut in printed pieces, pastel palettes, and chic travel ensembles. Kristen Stewart mixed color into her Fall wardrobe in Paris, working a yellow Balenciaga leather jacket and printed pants, also by the designer; Alessandra Ambrosio chased the fleeting Summer sun in a crisp white blazer, mint Hudson cutoffs, and studded Valentino pumps in LA; and Kim Kardashian wowed us in black and white colorblock Sass & Bide pants in Sydney. These ladies are just a few of the standout style stars, so cruise through to see who else was crowned, then shop their stellar looks for yourself.
As Gwen Stefani strolled the streets of London, it wasn't hard to miss her in her Kelly Wearstler black and white checkered trench coat ($895)! The singer buttoned up her outerwear all the way and wore it with equally quirky black round sunglasses like this pair from House of Harlow ($168) and her signature red lipstick. If you've been on the hunt for a new coat for Fall and you don't mind standing out wherever you may roam, then consider adding Gwen's funky fab checkered trench to your mix. It'll add instant pizazz to everything from little black dresses to office-chic trousers to your skinny jeans.
