Actress and EMA Young Hollywood Board member Emmanuelle Chriqui recently partnered with Green Works to bring awareness to The Reverse Graffiti Project, an epic urban cleaning initiative that reaches beyond the surface. Armed with the plant-based Green Works products, Japanese muralist Mr. Kiji transformed a busy (and very dirty) LA underpass into a beautiful work of art. If Green Works products can erase years of pollution to reveal eye-catching works of art, then imagine what it can do in your home.

Check out the Q&A below with Emmanuelle to learn more about this revolutionary project.

The campaign is all about small, everyday choices making a big impact. What are some of the ways you do this in your day-to-day routine?
I think small changes can be the most realistic because it can ease people in if they are just taking their first steps to be more environmentally conscious. I drive a hybrid car, recycle, take my reusable shopping bags to the store, buy organic and local, avoid using bottled water, among other steps.

The Reverse Graffiti Gallery includes installations from a LA underpass to the Broadway Tunnel in San Francisco; which is your favorite?
I think they are all pretty amazing, and I love the fact that you created art by removing the dirt from the walls in an environmentally sustainable way.

Do you have any tips for people who are wanting to make a change but don't know where to start?
Everyone should try the things they are comfortable with – and home is a good place to start. We have daily green tips on www.ema-online.org to help get you started.

Casa Beta: Clorox Green Works Dishwashing Liquid

Back in January, I had the opportunity to review Clorox's Green Works cleaning products.

Back in January, I had the opportunity to review Clorox's Green Works cleaning products. While many people (including myself) were initially wary of a natural cleaning line put out by Clorox, I was won over by the fact that the products were 99 percent natural, contained no harsh cleansers or artificial scents, and did the job with a minimum of fuss or expense. Further, I was impressed by the fact that the Sierra Club endorsed these products. This weekend, I tested out Green Works's latest product, its natural dishwashing liquid.

This Just In: Sierra Club Partners With Green Works

The Sierra Club, a noted and well-respected environmental nonprofit, has recently partnered with Clorox Green Works, a new green household cleaning line, to promote the line of cleaners.

The Sierra Club, a noted and well-respected environmental nonprofit, has recently partnered with Clorox Green Works, a new green household cleaning line, to promote the line of cleaners. Explaining its decision, the Sierra Club writes,

The bottom line is that these products are environmentally conscious, affordable, work well, and will be available to millions of people. They can help alter consumer behavior overall and will support the good work of the Sierra Club. It is our chance to use the power of our name to create an opportunity for people to do the right thing that hasn't really existed before on a large scale. And that is a great opportunity for Sierra Club and for the planet.

This is basically what I wrote in my Casa Beta post, and I agree with the Sierra Club — if we can get green cleaners in the hands of a majority of consumers, all the better.
