Nice and New: Graham & Brown's New Art Decor Collection
Graham & Brown is channeling Great Gatsby style with its newest wallpaper collection, Art Décor. Influenced by design elements from the '20s art deco movement, the line includes a mix of colors, textured finishes, and patterns, including theatrical florals, shapely fan motifs, edgy damasks, sophisticated stripes, and other geometrical patterns. For an extra dose of glamour, there are even a few with glitter embellishments.
I often find that art deco-inspired design can seem a little too dated or ordinary, but this collection feels contemporary, referential, and unique. All of the designs are $75 a roll as well, which is a great price for textural wallpaper. Come take a look at the wallpaper and tell me what you think of them!

A Dozen Roses For a Modern Gal
As I've mentioned, every year as Valentine's Day approaches, I become weary of the dozen red roses cliché. A lovely alternative to the ubiquitous bouquet is a rose motif decor gift, but I'm not a fan of shabby chic English rose patterns. I prefer something a little more modern. Since I wouldn't trust a man to think of such a clever, alternative gift for V-Day, today I'm taking the matter into my own hands. From petal-perfect colanders ($8) to shiny rose bowls ($130) to graphic, blooming rugs ($230 and up), I have my eye on a few rivetingly rosy items. One of my favorites is the Graham and Brown Rosa Wallpaper ($60), which challenges the traditional red palette with delicious apple green flowers. A Nursery For Natalie Portman: A Boy's Room
With so many celebrity pregnancies in the news, I've got nursery design on the brain. One of the mommies-in-waiting that I'm most excited about is Natalie Portman; she has flawless style, and there's no doubt her first child will be a beautiful one. So she's a perfect candidate for my first nursery design project! The word's not out yet on the gender of her baby, so I decided I'd have to design rooms for both! I've already designed a room for a baby girl, so next up: a boy's room.
To get a feel for Natalie's style, I took a look back at photos of her former West Village, NYC apartment. It's clear that Natalie is a traditionalist at heart, although she did integrate a few trend pieces here and there. She's also keen on button tufting, pattern, cool colors, wallpaper, and Madeline Weinrib rugs. She also went for a polished look but didn't go overboard on "glam" furnishings.
Natalie clearly has a soft spot for classic furniture, so I began with the Williams-Sonoma Home Fontaine Inlay Chest ($1,950); it'll last a lifetime for her little one, and it's gender-neutral. Next, I chose the Nursery Works Empire Rocker ($1,100) that feeds her love of tufted upholstery and cool colors and is also very high-end and sophisticated. I added pattern with a green, chicken coop wire-esque Madeline Weinrib Chi Chi Kari Rug and the fun, interactive Graham and Brown Frames Wallpaper ($45). I also created a youthful, tropical, wild theme with Elephant Bookends ($385), a CB2 Dodo Bird Pillow ($25), and the Anthropologie Green Leaves Framed Art ($2,200). Graham & Brown's New Wallpapers Pair Off With a Posy of Pillows
Graham & Brown recently debuted its newest wallpaper collection, Elixir, and I'm determined to find a place in my home for every single design. The papers feature hand-drawn floral and geometric patterns in a mix of metallic, glossy, and matte finishes for an elegant, modern style. They also coordinate with the brand's new interior paint collection, which makes color matching a cinch. I'm so excited with the new patterns that I've already begun to decorate by selecting throw pillows to coordinate with each design. Check out all of my picks!
A Nursery For Natalie: A Girl's Room
With so many celebrity pregnancies in the news, I've got nursery design on the brain. One of the mommies-in-waiting that I'm most excited about is Natalie Portman; she has flawless style, and there's no doubt her first child will be a beautiful one. So she's a perfect candidate for my first nursery design project! The word's not out yet on the gender of her baby, so I'll simply have to design rooms for both! First up: a girl's room.
To get a feel for Natalie's style, I took a look back at photos of her former West Village, NYC apartment. It's clear that Natalie is a traditionalist at heart, although she did integrate a few trend pieces here and there. Like her personality, her aesthetic is also quite reserved; there aren't any bold focal points or bright colors. She's also keen on button tufting, stripes, cool colors, wallpaper, and Madeline Weinrib rugs. She integrated a little glitz with chandeliers but didn't go overboard on "glam" furnishings.
Natalie clearly has a soft spot for classic furniture, so I began with the Williams-Sonoma Home Fontaine Inlay Chest ($1,950); it'll last a lifetime for her little one, and it's gender-neutral. Next, I chose the Nursery Works Empire Rocker ($1,100) which feeds her love of tufted upholstery and cool colors and is also very high-end and sophisticated. To create a soft pink and gray palette, I went with Graham & Brown's pink Countess Wallpaper ($75), from the brand's new Elixir collection. To coordinate, I selected the Madeline Weinrib Pink Westley Rug. And as a nod to the way Natalie and fiancé Benjamin met, I found a painting of A Pair of Ballerina Shoes ($215), by artist Liat Sterling. Click the product images to shop the rest of this nursery!
Graham & Brown Launches Its First Interior Paint Collection
British wallpaper retailer Graham & Brown has your walls covered. After 64 years in the wallpaper business, the company is expanding its horizons with its first interior paint collection. Inspired by British icons, the collection is aptly named "The Colours That Made Britain Great."
The range includes 30 high-quality, flat, matte finish colors in a full spectrum of shades. From a peachy beige named "Nice Cup of Tea" to a riveting rouge called "Double Decker Bus," each hue is a clever nod to British culture. Better yet, the paints were designed to complement G&B's existing collection of wallpapers, taking all the guess work out of choosing colors to match your accent wallpaper. The water-based formula is low-odor, low-VOC, and nondrip, making it easy to apply and easy on the environment, and each coat dries in only one to two hours. The paints are available to order online in 0.66 gallons for $35 or in $5 sample sizes.
