Bunk beds aren't just for space-starved families anymore. While traditional double-decker beds may have been brought in when families needed a place to rest their kids' heads at night, today they can be found in homes with more bedrooms than kids because of the style statements they make. Not just traditional stackable beds, today's bunks are cool and modern, giving contemporary kids' rooms some true mod style. Check out some of the most fun bunk beds on the market today!
My son recently turned 9, and apparently that is the age when they become aware of their surroundings! He determined almost overnight that his room was just too "Baby." He's visiting grandparents out of state, so I'm giving him a surprise room makeover. The first, and easiest, upgrade was his dresser.
I love it, but he's right....awfully sweet.

Even full-grown people need a little boost sometimes. If you've got high shelves in your closet or tall bookcases around the house, use a child-size chair to give you the little lift you need. They're more charming than a regular old step stool, and they'll double as seating for the little tykes you know. Plus, small versions of your favorite chairs, like Philippe Starck's Lou Lou Ghost Chair, are much more affordable than their big kid counterparts.
