As we know, berry lips are a great away to add a touch of bright color to any Winter look. From the sneak peek at the Bobbi Brown Raspberry Collection, it looks like berries are going to get even darker — yet more sheer — for Spring 2008. Here are three great blackberry lip shades that also happen to complement the dark-purple nail trend.

Now you can add Jemma Kidd's Semi-Permanent, Waterproof Eye Lash Color ($28.50) to the wide world of makeup stains. But unlike lip and cheek stains, this one is for your eyelashes. What's more, it's waterproof.

The semipermanent dye is lightweight and promises not to smudge, flake, or feather for 24 hours. It goes on like a mascara, and you should let it dry for a few moments before applying a second coat. One thing to be careful of: Don't let any product touch your skin or else it will stain your face — yuck.

To remove, just wet a cotton ball or Q-tip with an oil-based eye makeup remover and wipe along your lashes so that the color gets lifted away at the root. Lasting Tint is available in black only, but if it takes off, who knows what colors could come up?

These new Vincent Longo Pearlessence Gel Stains ($22.50) are slightly different from the other cheek tints on the market because they are infused with shimmer. They are also water-resistant and sweat-proof which makes them perfect for beach beauty!

They are truly long-lasting, they give you a natural-looking glow and they can be used as both a cheek or a lip stain. That's all great, but the only issue I have is that you have to work quickly to blend before they dry. Once the color sets, you're pretty much stuck with it all day. My advice is to apply to one cheek at a time and start off lightly, since you can always add more.

• Dolceacqua: shimmery plum
• Fresh Water Rose shimmery silver-plum

I recommend using Bellini Love while summer's still going strong, then going with one of the plum shades for fall. It's not too far away, you know!

We all want our teeth to be bright and white. There are so many whitening products and toothpastes on the shelves at my local drugstore. Dentists, for a pretty penny, professionally bleach stained and colored teeth.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to have pearly whites, but these products can make your teeth sensitive to cold and hot temperatures. Which can be surprisingly painful, so why not prevent the stains before they start?

If you're concerned about your teeth becoming stained, try to avoid these as much as possible:

• Coffee, tea, cola, and red wine - consider cutting back if it's not possible to ditch these altogether, and brush your teeth immediately after you drink them.
• Smoking - Don't you have enough reasons to quit?
• Certain fruits and veggies - apples and potatoes can stain your teeth, so brush after eating them. Teeth, like people, are unique and not everyone's teeth will react the same way to the same foods.
• Minerals in the water you drink can also discolor your teeth. Some cities add fluoride to the water supply - excessive fluoride from water or mouthwashes can also cause discoloration.

Fit's Tips: Anything that can stain your carpet can stain your teeth - so brushing after each meal and snack can help prevent stains. Keep toothpaste and a toothbrush in your desk drawer at work, so you can brush after your morning coffe.

Also, make sure to floss your teeth daily and get your teeth professionally cleaned every 6 months. It's good to know that some of these stains can be gently scraped off by your dentist.
