Kim Stoegbauer of The TomKat Studio always creates inspired and adorable parties (her daughter's mermaid birthday bash is one of our favorites), but recently she threw out a challenge to her fellow party divas — located across the globe in Australia! — to create stunning events using TomKat printables. Leoni Jena of Just Call Me Martha took her up on it and created an adorable owl-themed baby shower using some gorgeous, vintage-inspired florals, lovely sweets, and a beautiful tablescape. A group of owls is called a parliament, and these young'uns certainly must be holding court at the RSPCA's West Hatch Wildlife Centre in Taunton, England. Thirty-three baby birds found their way to the center between January and July, most likely due to the UK's turbulent weather this year. These tawny owlets are awaiting their release back into the wild . . . and hopefully not more ferocious wind!
This adorable little owl receives a head scratch at the dismay and jealousy of other owls. Tranquil, complacent, and the size of your hand — doesn't this video make you want a precious, puffy owl of your very own?

The below video is evidence enough of just how darn cute owls are, and Harry Potter's pet owl, Hedwig, proved to be the most loyal of all owls. Adorableness aside, do you know why the nocturnal creatures are icons of wisdom in folklore? While in the Harry Potter movies, Hogwarts students could opt to bring owls to their dormitories, their legends go much further back through the ages.

Molly the owl recently laid six eggs, and they're all slated to hatch any day now. Thus far, the first babe, Max, is being cared for on camera, but keep watching and checking back to see the rest of the owlets enter the world.
Several of my friends have a soft spot in their hearts for owl decor. Wanting to help them on their hunt for this hooting bird, I headed to Etsy to see what I could find.
