What We're Sweet On: Boudoir Candles Inspired by Ke$ha

Believe it or not, Ke$ha and candles have something in common. Nest has released a collection of three candles, aptly dubbed the After Midnight Collection, that were inspired by the pop rock singer's tune "Take It Off." The candles are separate in both scent and time of night, spanning from One O'Clock to Two O'Clock to, my favorite, Three O'Clock ($34). A scent labeled "Exotic Woods," Three O'Clock has notes of sandalwood, warm amber, frankinscense, and smoldering embers. The candle burns for 50 hours and, when lit, releases a scent that is both heart racing and soothing at the same time. Strike a match and slip into something a little more comfortable . . .
Trend Alert: Nests
Okay, I get it. You are definitely not a fan of the nest chandelier. However, that won't prevent me from trying to convince you that nests do have a place in your home's décor.

Check out the widget below for some ideas. I especially love the nest candelabra from VivaTerra. It would be the perfect lighting for a sweet, intimate dinner with your sweetie. What do you think? Do you like these other nest home items better than the nest chandelier?
Crave Worthy: Bird's Nest Chandelier
Nest, one of my favorite design shops in San Francisco, fittingly has a few of these beautiful bird's nest chandeliers hanging from their ceiling, and I'm totally mystified by them. I love its delicate floral trim and irregularly dangling crystals. When my online search for them turned up no results, I called the store to see where I could get my hands on them. The shopkeeper had me downright impressed when she told me she made them herself! Unfortunately, they're too busy with their wonderful shop to be commissioned to make one for moi. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to DIY this?

Fab Site: Nest
When it comes to online boutiques, Nest is triple-threat of fabulousness. It has an extensive inventory of cute stuff, it features works by up-and-coming designers, and it contributes to a good cause. Nest is actually a nonprofit organization that provides micro-loans to entrepreneurial women in developing countries. To finance those loans, it uses the profits from the online store, which features clothes, jewelry, accessories, and housewares by quirky, little-known designers. Eventually, the site also plans to sell the arts and crafts created by the recipients of its loans. This is a very cool business model, and their products are pretty damn cute too. Here are some of my favorites.
