Our living room is definitely a work-in-progress. I'm hoping to get new curtains this year. Maybe something with a bit more pattern. I really wish that I had a before picture of this room! We immediately took out the vertical blinds, painted the pink walls a warm gray (Cinder Block by Ralph Lauren), and took out the old faux-stone fireplace surround and the massive woodblack mantlepiece. My grandfather built our new mantle as well as the two tables in the photo. I bought the ottoman at Pottery Barn for $200 on clearance. The couch is super-comfy, and we spend all of our time in here.
