Ikea or Designer?

It takes someone with an eye to perfectly piece together a side table from Ikea, a pair of chairs from Design Within Reach, and a console from the local flea market.

It takes someone with an eye to perfectly piece together a side table from Ikea, a pair of chairs from Design Within Reach, and a console from the local flea market. It also takes a special set of eyes to know what is what. If you're an Ikea hacker, there's no foolin' you. Take my quiz to see if you can spot an Ikea piece from the rest.

DIY: An Ikea Hack of West Elm's Parsons Cube

Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member 2ndfloorliving of the Su Casa group: I'm proud of my first "Ikea hack."

Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member 2ndfloorliving of the Su Casa group:

I'm proud of my first "Ikea hack." I combined the parts from two Lack Side Tables ($7.99 each) to make one cube-like side table that looks very similar to West Elm's Parsons Cube Side Table ($149 each). All it took was some Liquid Nails to glue everything together! So for about $15 plus the cost of Liquid Nails ($3) you can make your own "$149" table.

I came up with the idea while doing research on Ikea Lack table hacks. You can see all the great examples I found on my blog.

Have you been doing any hacks of your own lately? Be sure to post photos and tales in the Su Casa group!
