Flor has a cheeky pair of new area rugs called Party Dress ($60) and Skirting Around ($60) with leafy outline cuts composed of four saturated color tiles, which are meant to be placed under holiday trees in a modern home. The texture has a brushed, felt softness, and they are made from recycled fibers! The only color options are chartreuse and brick, which are not quite my go-to colors. I'd love to see this rug not used with a holiday tree, but somehow more unexpected. I also love the idea of the cut-shaped outline designs, and hope to see some that could be used year round.
Through Friday, Nov. 16, FLOR, the modular carpet-tile retailer, is having their Annual Fall Sale, offering 15 percent off all full- and sale-price items. Just enter the coupon code FF873W at checkout to receive the discount. They have a wide selection of solid, patterned, and textured tiles, along with area rugs and tiles designed by Martha Stewart. So, get (discount) shoppin'!
My favorite modular carpet tile company, Flor, is having a sale on several different carpet tile patterns. Sale prices range from $6.99-$14.99 a tile, and the site also has a handy calculator to help you figure out how many tiles you'll need for your room. These patterns would be so fun to remake a room with.
Flor is a very unique company that manufacturers what it calls "modular carpet tiles" — aka, rug squares that can be arranged to create an area rug or wall-to-wall carpet. It's a great, easy option for renters or anyone shy about laying down carpet.
Now, Flor is the latest company to partner with lifestyle maven Martha Stewart, who just unveiled a line of Martha-designed floor tiles. (via Shak in Style) The collection includes nine color families, each offering different textures and patterns that you can mix and match to create your own floor coverings. I particularly like the Brook collection of cool blues and sea greens (pictured above). To see a gallery of the offerings, read more
