Michelle designs green, prefab homes that are both beautiful and cost-effective. These homes are guaranteed to achieve either gold or platinum LEED ratings, the two highest ratings from the US Green Building Council. And since the homes are prefab designs, they can also be quickly erected.

Radiant floor heating is a highly efficient heating system that involves heating the floor with electric tubes or a hydronic (hot water tubes) system beneath the floor boards. The way it works is that heat is delivered directly from the floors, warming up any objects (furnishings) or people they strike, which in turn radiate that heat. It is more efficient than traditional forced-air heating because no energy is lost through the air ducts, and hydronic systems use little electricity and can also be heated by a variety of energy sources. Since heat rises, it also makes sense to have the heat source at floor level, instead of in elevated vents. Source

Electronic House recently toured the home of New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning and his wife Abby in Hoboken, NJ (although he's actually a New Orleans boy), which is decked to the nines in the latest technologies. Although the condo is decidedly high-tech, it's also quite understated, traditional, and sophisticated. To see for yourself, check out this slideshow.
