Add any cool additions to your house lately? Maybe a porch? Maybe just a new throw pillow? Whatever you're doing, I want to see it!
Show off all of your home views, both interior and exterior, in my group on TeamSugar called Su Casa, where readers can share snapshots and stories related to home decorating, crafts, organizing, and gardening. A Su Casa post could be anything from a photo of a loved one's home to a tiny nook you're tickled by. Think of it as a Look Book for home style. If I see something I like in Su Casa, I might feature it on CasaSugar, so don't be surprised if you get an email from me!

One of the most beautiful weddings I've ever attended used succulents as centerpieces at the reception. The unusual plants were nestled in small colored glass votives that were laden with pretty, tiny pebbles. Would you use succulents as centerpieces at a wedding or a party? Source
Wow, talk about a steal. This Sonata Queen Bed Frame (originally $799, now $199.99) is definitely worth the extra delivery charges. The bed is made of rubberwood hardwoods and veneers, and has the type of traditional, understated style that could translate easily to a number of bedroom styles. I think it's classy and good looking, and since there isn't any MDF or engineered wood in this bed, you can expect it to stand the test of time as well. Hurry though — it's on closeout, so there might not be many left for long!
Here in the Bay Area, we've had Winters where it rained every day for nearly four months, so umbrella stands are a necessity. Do you have one in your home (or, like Betty Suarez, outside your front door)?
I love Peggy Olsen, the junior copywriter on Mad Men. She's tough as nails, fascinatingly complex, and a genuinely good person. While I have some hope for her personal fashion changing a bit since she's been hanging out with openly gay and Euro copywriter Kurt (he made a vast improvement to her hair), I'm not sure if I'm so hopeful for her apartment.
For this latest What You're Wanting, I want to know how you'd improve Peggy's kitchen. As you can see from this photo, it's pretty dull. What would you do to improve the look? Would you change the paint color? What accessories would you add? Any furniture that could dress up her Brooklyn walk-up? Add all the finds to your ShopStyle Living stylebook, and create a look tagged with the phrase Pegg's Mad Men Kitchen. Private message me if you have any questions. Oh, and as extra incentive, I'll give some Sugar schwag away to my favorite look! Source
I love lacquer. Trays. Tables. Anything, really. A layer of lacquer can really transform a humdrum design into something glamorous. If you pair a great design with a lacquered finish, you must be after my own heart.
Lotus Bleu can consider me swept off my feet, as I can't resist its Lacquered Table Lamp ($280). The luminary combines the the turned-wood trend with nine cheerful colors of your choice, a white silk shade, a three-way switch, and of course that glossy shine that weakens my knees. I love how its circular ledge will hold a pair of earrings, or a small personal knickknack; it's the ideal bedside table lamp.
