The tree-branch trend may be giving way to birch and other motifs, but I still appreciate a lovely tree-inspired accent. Especially one that's sleek and metallic rather than brown and burly; even better if it's on sale.
If you're knot ready to give up the tree trend just yet, snap up these Viva Terra Recycled Aluminum Bark Candlesticks ($89, marked down from $179). They're half price but fully fabulous.
I just stumbled across this porcelain Jonathan Adler Chain Frame ($125) and was reminded of how much I cherish the equestrian-chic look of a classic chain link. As much as I love the frame (white porcelain, yum), I don't know if I'd throw down over 100 smackers for it, unless perhaps it displayed a photo of me and say . . . Matthew Fox, sigh. So, I decided I'd seek out some other chain link patterns and motifs and see what comes up. The winner, I think, is Iomoi's Bamboo Chain Link Pattern Lucite Tray ($100), but there's still more goodies that may chain-ge my mind.

The T Table ($263) designed by Italian designer Patricia Urquiola for Kartell has a tactile embroidery-esque filigree top and is made of transparent batch-dyed plastic (Kartell's token material), which gives it a feminine-meets-techno look. Fortunately, there's an equally fab alternative at a fraction of the price. To learn where you can pick it up, read more
