These are great questions to consider! I did a DW and me and my husband loved it. Some sick and older family members were not able to make it (they wouldn't have been to either if we did it in the U. S. due to still having to travel - way too many folks scattered over many miles). A DW would not have worked for us if we wanted to be control freaks over every minute details since we did not get married at a resort either. We just wanted to have a fun vacay with friends and family we don't to get spend much time with topped up with a killer party (a.k.a. the wedding reception).

2I got married at Magen's Bay in St. Thomas, USVI with 30+ guests! It was beautiful, and wonderful!
