As much as I love to fill my digs with antiques and unique treasures from far-off lands, it's hard not to shop at home décor chain stores. Their prices, sales, customer service, websites, and expansive inventory simply can't be beat. It's all a balancing act, and of course no one wants their home to look like a department store showroom. But for the basics, a big box retailer is tried and true. So, for our Best of 2008 polls, let me know which one is your favorite this year.

My sister and I drive 2 hours up to Naperville, Il. to the Crate and Barrel outlet a couple times a year and buy the motherload. Home Market is great to.
1how about all of the above???
2Crate and Barrel is my pick. The only thing I don't like is that there's not a store close to home. When I do get to go, I make it worth my while.
3anthro is my fav, but pottery barn is more realistic for me
4I don't think Ikea has ever let me down. They have everything!
5Other: Room and Board. Ah I LOVE their stuff, which you can see at roomandboard.com
6I'm loving West Elm more and more. I think the style really fits me well, and it's relatively affordable. And I love that you can pick up merchandise (including furniture) straight from their store - it really saves a lot in shipping!
7Target for me! It's close by and within my budget. I would love to decorate with Crate & Barrel or Pottery Barn, but I can't buy much on my budget.
8I've been buying from West Elm and CB2 a ton lately. I just wish there was a CB2 near me.
9Ikea is great, but I find the cutest things at Target for an affordable price. It's my go to store for fashion and jewelry as well.
10LOVE Anthropologie!! Totally can't afford anything in there, but I like to wander around and pretend that I can. :0) It's good for inspiration...and decorative door knobs.
11Ikea.
12Probably because I don't think they have the rest in Singapore.
Haha.
I love IKEA!
Target would be second.
13Target... it's in my budget. Now if I didn't have to drive an hour to get to a Target.
14Crate & Barrel solely based on their selling items in Marimekko fabrics and prints.
15Here in Norway - Habitat, Ikea, Living and Åhléns.
16If I had more money to spend it would Anthropologie because I love their fabrics and antique feel. I chose Crate and Barrel, there items tend to have a one of a kind vibe and they have good quality for the price.
17oops, their*
