Trend Alert: Apparel as Home Décor
From inspiring shelter magazines to the portfolios of interior stylists and photographers to haute décor shops, I've been seeing our bodies' garments artistically displayed on the beautiful bones of houses around the world. At a time when fashion rules the pavement and the print pubs, names like Balenciaga and Yves Saint Laurent prolifically roll off the tongue, celebrities are becoming designers left and right, and Birkin bags take 48 hours to make, it's no wonder that apparel is making waves in our homes as well in the buzzing media world. I'm not a huge fan of this. Mostly it looks like they haven't put their clothes away yet. The yellow dress one is nice though.
Oh and I do have some clothes framed (surprisingly) but they're RENT costumes but I haven't put them on a wall yet. Just don't have the right place for them yet.
1I hang my necklaces on the wall as pictured in image 10 but that's about all I'm on board with.
2Oh yes, my little girl's very first bikini in a frame. Nice idea.
