Another image in Lake's portfolio features beautiful blue and green floral dresses on unifying yellow hangers, used to garnish the doors of a plain, white closet. In her book, Bazaar Style, with words by Joanna Simmons, alongside a similar image, it reads: "Clothes can become art when carefully hung across a wall. Here, a collection of dresses and skirts, made by the fashion-designer owner of this house, lines one wall. If you display clothes this way, take them down regularly for a brush and shake out, to remove dust and prevent creases." She later writes, "Hanging a beautiful dress or colorful hats and bags from closet doors or a coat rail is an easy way to bring pattern and vibrancy to a sleeping space."
