Instead of having to keep tiebacks on hand or hanging in a not-so-conspicuous spot, I have double panel curtain rods in my bay window that come in quite handy. On the back rod, I have sheer lightweight curtains that allow me to pull back the leaf adorned shades without showing my neighbors the details of my life. When they aren't functioning in that capacity, they are dutiful tiebacks. With three simple motions, the maneuver allows light to flow into my house and an accent is created.
While I have four panels to work with, this look can easily be achieved with a single panel, too. The first time I wrapped my curtains up like this, my guests were in awe of how simple it was yet how fabulous it looked. Oh how I love accidental discoveries!
