Bouquet-Inspired Paint Palettes — Just in Time For Spring!

Mar 27 2014 - 3:08am

Sometimes it's not our favorite colors or an accent piece that leads to great design, but rather something completely unrelated — like a Spring bouquet! Using the beautiful hues from pastel florals, we created five color palettes to inspire. Whether you're looking to freshen up your living room or bedroom with a coat of paint or need a guide for your party's color scheme, use these hues as a starting point and as a reminder of the everyday inspiration found around you.

This bright pink floral bouquet is feminine yet playful. Several shades of pink like regal rose [3], piquant pink [4], and merry berry [5] are perfect for a small powder room. Complete with an accent shade of green like florentine flash [6]!

A shade of fresh green [9] pops against the neutral colors like the whipped cream [10] and Georgian white [11] of this bouquet. Just a touch of rich pink [12] will offer additional dimension. These colors would work well in a kitchen — imagine crisp, white cabinets and green walls!

The colors of this beachy bouquet would be absolutely stunning in a bedroom. From creamy shades like Georgian white [15] and soft pink [16] to a darker shade of suede [17] taupe. For the final touch, use a hue of royal grey blue [18], similar to the one seen in the hydrangeas.

Pulling the yellow hues of this floral arrangement inspired a soft palette with colors like lovely light lemon [21], Tuscon gold [22], and colonial cream [23]. A pop of wishful wisteria [24] red would be perfect for a front door.

Get pretty in pink with hues like precious pink [27], pink dimity [28], and a peachy ambrosia afternoon [29]. A shade like Naples yellow [30] works well as a subtle contrast.
