Whether you love the modern look of a Bertoia chair or the sweet looping style of an ice cream bistro patio set, there are countless ways to add some metal furniture to your outdoor lounging space this Summer. While it's probably too out of character for my garden's aesthetic, I'm still dying over the Tudor Garden Bench (top row, middle, on sale for $600). It was inspired by an antique seat found in an English garden, and is all metal and painted and finished by hand. The top canopy is the perfect place to let a trained vine spill over its bounty — whether it be grapes, roses, or morning glories. Wouldn't you love to sit under a natural grape canopy this Summer?
On the opposite end of the spectrum is the Bertoia Side Chair (bottom row, right, $500). The bright green color of the one featured here is so fantastic. Designed in the early '50s for Knoll, it can be used in the great outdoors with limited exposure to the elements — in other words, don't leave it to bake in the sun or get caught in a sudden thunderstorm. It's also available in black and white if you can't handle the vibrant green.
