Shopping For Home Decor Items Inspired by Janelle Monáe's Tuxedo

Inspired: Janelle Monáe's Archandroid Black and White

Yesterday, Janelle Monáe performed as part of the Voodoo Music Experience 2010 at City Park in New Orleans, LA. The singer's debut album The Archandroid is one of my favorites of 2010. Janelle Monáe is also known for her black-and-white uniform, which often consists of a tuxedo and saddle shoes. In an interview with BellaSugar, she explained, "As I’ve grown up, I started to extract myself from color. Black and white always makes me feel calm, and I feel more in control. I like to be in a focused, clear-minded state, especially when I’m working. I just like to allow the colors to come out and be my own personality."

Inspired by Janelle's elegant, monochromatic look, I found items that featured a similar tailored look and this same color palette. Two of my favorites are the PH 50 Pendant Lamp ($850) and the Fringe "J" Monogram Kim Candle ($15). Just click on each item to shop the rest of the look!
