CS: I see a lot of global influences in your decorating style. Which parts of the world are you most inspired by aesthetically and how is that reflected in your personal style?
SF: Living in Europe for five years gave me many more opportunities to travel than I otherwise would have had, if I had chosen to stay in the United States. This certainly influenced my style. I adore the comfort of Scottish cottages, the pomp and circumstance of English manors, the laid-back vibe of the Greek Isles, the incredible beauty of African and Indonesian art and crafts, and the beautiful, crazy glamour of Parisians and Italians. I am continuously blown away by images and creations from other cultures, and naturally I will now always have an interest in them. This comes across in my personal style with clothing as well as decor. Constantly evolving and changing, always unique, never boring.
