Lauren Ranes: Be adventurous! There is no formula. All chairs need not match. One approach, as demonstrated in this home, is to select identifiable host chairs. Try upholstering chairs in something unexpected, either with a playful fabric or by using different textiles on a single piece — it really helps to invigorate a room. You could even try coupling two tables or grouping a cluster of tables together for a more collected, eclectic approach.
