Wow, Pier 1 is having a crazy "moving sale" on its web site, offering up to 50 percent off on almost everything online. From now until Aug. 31 — or while supplies last — you can get some serious bargains on kitchenware, candles, rugs, and bedding.
Until today, I actually hadn't perused the Pier 1 site for a while, and I'm pleasantly surprised by some of the chic offerings. Here are a few of my picks from the sale; just click on each photo to view.

5Blech. I worked at Pier 1 for over 3 years and am still haunted by all the wicker and wax.

10Oh I wish I'd known sooner! Everything I had on my Pier1 mental shopping list acquired from the catalog mailings I regularly get is ~gone~ There's hardly anything left at all! What a great deal for tonnes of peeps~!
11I went into my local Pier 1 last weekend to see about buying some pillows that are in the most recent catalog. They had the match curtains but said they won't have the pillows for 2 months! You can't even order them online. Why put them in a catalog if you can't buy them yet? Makes no sense to me.
12Pier 1 is so overpriced, I used to be fan but I feel like I'm kind of of over them at this point. Until they step up their game, I think I'll pass.
13If anyone lives near a Big Lots, they have a TON of Pier 1 inventory right now. At like 70% off!
