Mrs. Doubtfire Who? Robin Williams's Biggest Bragging Right Is This House!

Jul 20 2014 - 4:04am

If you thought the Mrs. Doubtfire sequel [1] was a surprise, allow us to knock your socks off with the other bit of news surrounding Robin Williams [2]: he recently listed his breathtaking villa in Napa, CA, for $29.9 million — it's that good — and it looks like it may have already sold! Sitting pretty on 640 acres in wine country, his custom-built villa might be the comedic legend's biggest bragging right yet. Sure, the 20,000-square-foot home built from Portuguese limestone includes a billiards room, oak-paneled library, 12-seat home theater, elevator, climate-controlled cellars, private tower, and bridge, but that doesn't come close to competing with the home's outdoor perks. Picture a 65-foot infinity-edge swimming pool, a tennis court, and a guesthouse, plus private hiking and horse riding trails, a horse barn, and a bass-fishing spot in a spring-fed pond. Jealous yet?

Sure, it looks like Tuscany, Italy, but Robin's California estate is nestled in the Mayacamas Mountains between Napa and Sonoma Valleys.

The massive villa (appropriately dubbed Villa Sorriso, aka Villa of Smiles) is tiny compared to the 640 acres of land, around 18 of which comprise vineyards.

Who needs art when you have giant windows framing the picturesque landscape?

We can only imagine the caliber of wine being sipped at one of Robin's dinner parties.

Being cooped up in the kitchen must feel like a treat when you have an adjoining terrace.

A climate-controlled wine cellar is a must for any luxury estate in wine country.

Forget the IMAX experience — we'd be content with an at-home rental if it took place here!
