Open House: Have You Lived in a Haunted House?

Earlier this week, I asked if you believe in haunted houses. Over 60 percent of you said you absolutely believe in haunted houses, and I have to say that I'm with you in that opinion.

When I was in college my friends and I moved into an old Victorian in a nearby town. It was a beautiful three-story home, and we enjoyed decorating it to our (college-budget-limited) hearts' content. However, spooky things definitely occurred. The creepiest was when we all left the house one Winter morning and locked the door tight. We returned that evening to find the door standing wide open and the faucet in the sink turned on — with the water in the sink and on counters, floors, and coming out of the faucet frozen solid. While the 20 below zero weather that infiltrated the house explains the frozen water (and pipes, ouch), how the water was turned on, and the door unlocked, is another story entirely. Was it a neighborhood prank by teenage kids? Or something more spectral?

How about you? Have you ever lived in a haunted house? If so, what was your experience like?
