I walked down the hall, (which included like five stairs) and the bathroom sink was on full blast . . . weird, I think so!"
  • An anonymous reader shared, "My roommates and I in college all saw things happen around our house. Literally things would lift of the ground/counters etc. and move across the room."

  • Another anonymous commenter said, "I work at a bed and breakfast in an 1890s Victorian home . . . I have a hard time believing it's old enough to actually be haunted, but I swear I have seen ghosts when I've been there, both during the day and at night . . . we only have four rooms, so there are a lot of times when I'm alone because all the guests are gone for the day and I often see what I think is a woman wearing a blue-and-white-striped shirt . . . nothing evil-haunted, but just maybe some people that potentially stayed there a long time ago and wanted to re-visit after passing on?"
  • Onlysourcherry shared, "My house in college was built around the turn of the century and it was totally haunted. One time we were tipsy and decided to go 'ghost hunting' and all of the pictures from upstairs were fine, but every single picture from the basement has those 'spirit marks' in them! That and a whole host of other weird incidences, I totally believe it was haunted."
  • Liss wrote, "Yes, my in-laws' house is haunted and once we stayed in a motel that was haunted. I woke up in the middle of the night to see a man dressed in all black and a top hat standing next to the bed, thinking I was dreaming I rolled over and went back to sleep. A minute later my husband started making a terrible noise like he was choking/screaming and when I leaned over and shook him a little. He said there was a man dressed all in black with a top hat on sitting on him and strangling him. We could not have possibly been dreaming of the same person at the same time."
  • Another anonymous reader wrote, "We lived in a pretty active home growing up. On one occasion I laid down to take a nap (the door to the bedroom was closed and the windows were shut). I dozed off pretty quickly but woke with a start after feeling someone sit down on the edge of the bed and blow on the back of my neck. It still gives me the chills just thinking about it!"
  • Lilith89 wrote, "When I was in high school my grandma passed away and left us her house. She used to tell me that things used to get misplaced a lot. So we moved in and sure enough I would always find my stuff misplaced when I got back from school. We had wood floors and I would know who would be walking in the middle of the night. Then one night I heard someone's footsteps that didn't sound like my parents or sis, so I quickly opened my door and no one was there. Another time my parents were having a party, I went to my room to get something and I closed the door behind me. I turned around to grab the doorknob because I forgot something else. Then the whole doorknob shook back and forth left and right. At night I could also hear another set of footsteps that sounded like tiny feet. There were no children in the house by the way. The one thing that scared me the most was when one of my porcelain dolls moved its head. I threw away that doll immediately."
  • Another anonymous reader shared, "My jewelry was frequently moved. I could hear footsteps when I was in bed. I was blow drying my hair and the bathroom door shook violently as if someone were trying to get in. I quickly opened the door expecting to see someone on the other side, but no one was there. The hair on my arms stood on end many, many times."
