Out of all the fantastic showcase prefabs we toured at Dwell on Design this year, the one that stands out in our minds the most is LivingHomes' new C6 model, outfitted by LA-based interior design firm, DISC Interiors. The two companies were a natural match, says David John Dick of DISC. "LivingHomes and DISC both share a perspective on how to live in a home as well as a natural affinity for a very warm modern aesthetic." The C6 is not only the newest prefab by LivingHomes; it is also the most affordable. Designed in collaboration with Make It Right, Brad Pitt's New Orleans' based nonprofit, a complete C6 starts at $139,000. When deciding on an interior design direction, however, David John and his design partner, Kista Schrock, set their design sights farther north than Nolo. "We went with 'rustic Nordic prefab cabin' for our design inspiration," says David John.
DISC turned to some of their favorite vendors to help carry out their vision, sourcing furniture from Cicso Home and Lawson-Fenning, lighting from Rejuvenation and artwork from POPSUGAR Home favorite Taylor de Cordorba gallery.
